Establishment very sélect, the college of Mérémont has just been the theatre of a murder. A young boarder is found bound and strangled in the "dormitory of large". The tempting Marco inspector inquires, but runs up against the general hostility of the professors and the pupils. Its helping charm, the languages are untied and helps it of the young Aimee of Capelle, a pupil, and of Julie, the waitress of the hotel "the green mare", will be decisive. Miss Tournesac, supervising it, will be confused. It had a connection with the photographer of the village, Mr. Triboudot, and the victim wanted to reveal this connection with all the college. Its finished investigation, Marco exchanges a promise with a future with Aimée.
