What follows reveals key moments of the intrigue.
The lawyer Jacques Vermorel receives the visit of an unknown, Gaetan, who teaches him that his Jacqueline wife granted her favours to him. Jacques drives out his wife who takes refuge at one of her applicants, Pierre. This last which was on the point of marrying its Simone mistress breaks with it. An alleged detective, Duvernois, engaged by Vermorel to follow his wife, do not cease disentangling, or rather getting mixed up wire of the intrigue. Afterwards many adventures, two male nurses pass strait jacket in Gaetan and Duvernois who were two insane escaped of asylum. Jacques and Jacqueline reconcile themselves and Pierre marries Simone.
