♦ Around the film :

Sequel of "the Fox of the desert", an enormous success already produced by Darryl F. Zanuck, this Robert Wise movie (La Canonnière du Yang-Tsé, Le jour où la Terre s’arrêta) propelled the English comedian Richard Burton to the rank of world star and confirmed James Mason's talent, which embodies here larger than life Rommel.
