L'inconnue de Montreal is a French film realised by Jean Devaivre, release in 1951.

Hélène recognizes in war friend Paul Laforet, of her husband Pierre Chambrac, the policeman who believes her a dangerous criminal. But he promises to keep silent if she indeed wants to follow him in Canada. His brother Anton, the true culprit, and Pierre her husband pursue it. Anton manages to hurt Pierre and Hélène. This one, five-year-old condemned person of prison, prefers that her husband considers it dead, hoping that his love will resist to five years of absence.
